Add one of the freshwater aquarium hobby’s most recognizable predatory fish to your collection. These wild-caught Silver Arowanas (Osteoglossum bicirrhosum) measure approximately 6–8 inches and display the species’ distinctive elongated body, metallic silver coloration, upturned mouth, and prominent barbels.
Three fish are available and sold individually. The product photograph shows two of the three actual Silver Arowanas currently available at DSS Aquatics. This is a group listing rather than a WYSIWYG listing, so the individual fish received may differ slightly in coloration, markings, and exact size.

Housing
Silver Arowanas grow into extremely large and powerful fish. They require a very large aquarium with substantial open swimming space, strong filtration, and excellent water quality. A properly fitted, secure lid is essential because Arowanas are powerful jumpers. Buyers should have suitable long-term housing prepared before ordering.
Choose tankmates carefully. Small fish may be viewed as food, while overly aggressive or fin-nipping species can injure an Arowana. These fish are recommended for experienced aquarists who understand the long-term space, feeding, and maintenance requirements of large predatory species.
