Aquarium Care

Orange Neocaridina perform best in a stable, fully cycled aquarium containing established biofilm and plenty of surfaces for grazing. Moss, live plants, botanicals, rocks, and driftwood provide natural food sources and important shelter.

Use a shrimp-safe filter or cover the filter intake with a sponge. Avoid housing dwarf shrimp with large, aggressive, or strongly predatory fish. Even peaceful fish may eat very small juvenile shrimp.

Feed a varied diet that may include quality shrimp pellets, algae-based foods, blanched vegetables, biofilm, and occasional protein-rich foods. Feed lightly and remove uneaten food to help maintain excellent water quality.

Acclimation

Shrimp can be sensitive to rapid changes in water chemistry. Slow drip acclimation is strongly recommended before introducing them to their new aquarium. Never add shipping water directly to the aquarium.
