Every assortment is different. Snails are selected according to current availability, so specific colors, equal quantities of each color, and inclusion of every listed color are not guaranteed.

Why Keep Mystery Snails?
Mystery Snails are peaceful and active aquarium inhabitants that work well in many freshwater community aquariums.
Their large, colorful shells make them considerably more visible than many smaller aquarium snails. They spend much of their time exploring aquarium surfaces while grazing on algae, biofilm and available organic material.
Mystery Snails should not be purchased solely as an algae-control solution. They benefit from supplemental feeding and a nutritionally varied diet.
Aquarium & Water Requirements
Provide a mature, stable freshwater aquarium with adequate filtration and good water quality.
Mystery Snails require access to minerals—particularly calcium—to support healthy shell growth. Very soft or acidic water can contribute to shell erosion and deterioration over time.
Keep the aquarium securely covered. Mystery Snails may travel above the waterline and can escape through openings around aquarium lids.
Feeding
Offer a varied diet that may include:
- Quality sinking foods
- Algae wafers
- Snail/invertebrate foods
- Blanched vegetables
- Naturally occurring algae and biofilm
- Calcium-rich supplemental foods when appropriate
Do not rely exclusively on naturally occurring aquarium algae to provide complete nutrition.

Your 10-snail assortment will be selected from the colors DSS Aquatics has available when your order is prepared.
Gold, Blue, Ivory and Chestnut may be included. Purple Mystery Snails are included occasionally when available.

Shipping Live Mystery Snails
Live aquatic animals are packed carefully for transit and shipped according to current weather conditions and DSS Aquatics live-animal shipping procedures.
The buyer is responsible for providing a correct shipping address and monitoring tracking so the package can be received promptly.
Extreme temperatures or unsafe shipping conditions may require DSS Aquatics to delay shipment for animal welfare.

Your order is covered by the DSS Aquatics Live Arrival Guarantee subject to our current shipping and DOA terms.
For a DOA claim:
Contact DSS Aquatics within 1 hour of the carrier’s first recorded delivery attempt.
Clear photo and/or video documentation of the affected animal(s) and shipping packaging may be required to validate the claim.
Approved DOA claims are eligible for a refund or store credit for the confirmed DOA livestock, according to the current DSS Aquatics policy.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Failure to receive the package at the first delivery attempt, delayed reporting, disposal of the animal before documentation, or circumstances outside the current DSS Aquatics Live Arrival policy may affect eligibility.
