DSS Aquatics sells live aquatic animals including fish, shrimp, snails, and other aquatic livestock.
All livestock are inspected and carefully packaged prior to shipment. We guarantee livestock are alive and properly packed at the time of shipment.
Livestock coloration, pattern, size, sex, finnage, and appearance may vary from photographs due to natural variation, age, lighting, genetics, and environmental factors. Images are representative examples and may not depict the exact specimen received.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the shipping, delivery, DOA reporting requirements, and livestock guarantee terms outlined in that policy.
DSS Aquatics reserves the right to delay shipments due to weather conditions, carrier disruptions, or any circumstance that may negatively impact livestock health and survival during transit.
Due to the nature of live aquatic animals, all livestock sales are final.
No returns are accepted on live fish, shrimp, snails, or other aquatic livestock.
Approved DOA claims will be handled in accordance with our Shipping & Live Arrival Guarantee policy.
Shipping charges are non-refundable.
DSS Aquatics reserves the right to issue a replacement, store credit, or refund at its sole discretion for approved claims.
Customers are responsible for researching species compatibility, tank requirements, water parameters, acclimation procedures, and proper husbandry before purchase.
DSS Aquatics is not responsible for losses resulting from:
• Improper acclimation
• Inadequate water quality
• Improper tank conditions
• Aggressive tank mates
• Existing diseases or parasites within a customer’s aquarium
• Overstocking or incompatible species combinations
• Any husbandry issues occurring after delivery
Once livestock has been successfully delivered, long-term care and survival become the responsibility of the customer.
We strive to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, specifications, and pricing.
However, errors may occasionally occur. DSS Aquatics reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or pricing mistakes without prior notice.
Livestock and natural products may vary from photographs and descriptions due to natural variation.
Natural products including driftwood, stone, botanicals, and hardscape materials vary in size, shape, coloration, texture, and appearance.
Photographs are representative examples and may not depict the exact item received.
Minor variations are considered normal and are not grounds for return or refund.
Information provided through our website, care guides, species profiles, blog articles, videos, YouTube channel, social media accounts, and other educational materials is intended for informational and educational purposes only.
While we strive to provide accurate information, DSS Aquatics makes no guarantees regarding the completeness, accuracy, or applicability of educational content to every aquarium system.
Customers remain responsible for determining the suitability of livestock and products for their specific setups.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DSS Aquatics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the purchase, shipment, delivery, use, or ownership of products or livestock.
DSS Aquatics’ maximum liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product in question.
All prices are listed in United States Dollars (USD).
Prices, inventory levels, product availability, shipping methods, and policies are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right to cancel orders resulting from pricing errors, inventory discrepancies, or circumstances beyond our control.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State in which DSS Aquatics operates, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
